Founded in 2023, Artist-in-Residence Vietnam Network (AiRViNe) aims to support the growth of Vietnam’s contemporary art scene through artist residencies that foster cultural exchange, professional development, community engagement, and sustainable art infrastructure. By creating opportunities for cross-border collaboration, skill-building, and dialogue, AiRViNe seeks to connect Vietnamese artists with international networks while also promoting the value of local cultural heritage.
Since 2024, AiRViNe has become an official member of On the Move (OTM), the Green Art Lab Alliance (GALA), and the Taiwan Art Spaces Alliance (TASA)—further expanding its global reach. In 2025, AiRViNe is honored to be invited as a guest speaker at Res Artis General Assembly in São Paulo, Brazil, the TASA Annual Meeting in Hsinchu, Taiwan, and Koganecho Bazaar in Yokohama, Japan—affirming its growing role as a vital connector between Vietnam and the international art residency landscape..
Our Mission
Our mission is to be the premier platform that
connects artists, creatives, and cultural enthusiasts
with diverse and enriching residency opportunities
in Vietnam and collaboration worldwide. We aim to
foster cultural mobility, cross-cultural exchange,
artistic growth, and the exploration of new
perspectives through residencies.
Particularly, our platform is determined to increase
the mobility of artists and cultural professionals,
which aligns with The Convention on the Protection
and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural
Expressions (2005) of UNESCO.
AiRViNe has organized collaborative residency
programs with partners in Vietnam, Taiwan, and Japan,
and regularly hosts visiting artists from Vietnam, Italy,
Netherlands, UK and Philippines. Through workshops,
talks, and mentorship, the network actively supports
Vietnamese artists in navigating and applying to
international residency opportunities.

Comprehensive Listing
Provide a comprehensive and user-friendly platform (Instagram, website) for Vietnamese artists, and available residencies in Vietnam that lists a diverse array of residency types, including visual arts, performing arts, literature, interdisciplinary projects, and more.
Global Reach
Connect artists from every corner of the world with residency opportunities
spanning different countries, cultures, and artistic disciplines to Vietnam Artist-in- Residence programs, as well as bring more Vietnamese artists to international
residency programs.
Facilitate Partnerships
Facilitate partnerships with established and emerging cultural hubs, art spaces,
institutions, and sponsors to offer exclusive and impactful residency opportunities.
Capacity Building
Capacity building for spaces/hubs/organizations by curating and verifying
residency standards, ensuring that each opportunity meets certain criteria for quality, authenticity, and support.
Educational Resources
Offer resources that help artists prepare for residencies, from application tips and portfolio development to cultural sensitivity and collaborative skills.
Impact Measurement
Collect data and stories to demonstrate the positive impact of residencies on
artists’ careers, cultural exchange, and the broader creative community. Besides
researching the current situation of art residencies in Vietnam, we aim to publish a mobility funding guide as well as AiRViNe annual report.
International Funding
Attract international funding by demonstrating how our platform contributes to the advancement of arts and culture, cross-cultural understanding, and the professional growth of artists.
